Kenny Jackett is wary about upsetting the balance of a Pompey squad firing on all cylinders on the final day of the transfer window.

And that means it’s set to be a last day of business without significant action at Fratton Park, as things stand.

The Blues have been focussing their attention on bringing in a left-sided defender this month, after making three early signings.

The News understands a possible option emerged last night in that area, but with Jackett pleased with the form of his back line at present a move didn’t develop.

Pompey are not actively looking to move on any of the 25-man squad currently at their manager’s disposal.

But if an offer was to come in for a player on the fringes that was suitable to all parties a move could still be agreed.
