Hotel to sponsor Portchester running club

A HOTEL has announced it will be sponsoring a running club.

Village Hotel Club in Portsmouth Lakeside North Harbour will be Rural Running's main event sponsor with the team from Village Gym hosting pre-race day number collections and provide pre-race warm-up as well as a range of giveaways for racers through the year, including exclusive membership offers for use in the Village Hotel gym.

Jeff Clark, founder of Portchester-based Rural Running, said: '˜When I started Rural Running in 2016 I could barely run a bath, let alone a marathon!

'˜Village Hotel Club's support will help us to reach even more runners and encourage them to get involved the sport.'

Village Hotel Club Portsmouth general manager Mike Horner added: '˜Village Hotel Club Portsmouth is dedicated to supporting our local community and using the skills of our health club and gym staff is a great way to do this.'
