Donate, not exterminate! Panto supports charity
The cast of Curtain Up! Productions, formerly known as Denmead Operatic Society, have celebrated the end of their pantomime Aladdin.
Widow Twankey and her sisters impressed the audience, but it was a golden Dalek which was the main star – and also helped to raise money for a vital service.

And after the show, audience members were invited to pose for photos with the Doctor’s famous foe in exchange for a donation to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
Ian Clark, director of Curtain Up!, says: ‘The charity relies on the generosity of the people and businesses of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to keep the air ambulance in the sky and saving lives.
‘We borrowed the Dalek from some local fans who use it to help raise money for the Hampshire Air Ambulance.’
