6Music favourites and Glastonbury stars join the bill of Portsmouth's Dials Festival
Acts added to the bill include Porridge Radio, a band recently playlisted on BBC 6Music with their single Give/Take; the quirky Madonnatron, fresh from a slot at Glastonbury, who released their new album Musica Alla Puttanesca in May; and electronic-pop artist Megan Lara Mae who will appeal to fans of Sigrid, Lorde and Banks, and who was also at Glastonbury.
Joining them from Scotland will be new-romantic goth pop-punks Walt Disco and Beija Flo from Liverpool, an artist who has been described as a true polymath creating her own universe, pulling together elements of activism, performance art and education. From even further afield Dials welcome’s Seattle’s Acid Tongue.

Hide AdLondon is represented by far-out rockers Swedish Death Candy who have been working on their new album, plus new singer-songwriter Amy Vix who cropped up on this year's Glastonbury Emerging Talent longlist with her commercial country-rock sound, drawing comparisons to Taylor Swift and Fleetwood Mac.
From closer to home there will also be some of the best rising south coast talent, including Southampton’s colourful popsters Bash!, Brighton’s icy synth-art band Circe, ethereal indie rockers Winter Gardens and Portsmouth’s own psychedelic kings Number 9.
They join the likes of the previously announced acts such as The Blinders, Another Sky, Talk Show, Haze and Johanna Bramli.
Taking place in five venues on Albert Road in Southsea, the south coast event is returning for its fourth edition.

Hide AdIt promises a full day and night of new music discovery in intimate venues for just £20, while encouraging conversation around mental health issues and raising funds for its charity partner Solent Mind.
Emma Fernandes, Solent Mind’s business development director, says: ‘We are very excited to be continuing our partnership with the Dials music festival for a second year.
‘The link between mental health and music is well recognised, whether it’s playing or listening to music. Many people find music a useful part of their coping strategy, and we all know songs that are special to us and help us through tough times.
‘By being Dials’ charity partner we hope to raise awareness of mental health, raise funds for local services, and celebrate the power of music to help people’s well being.’Solent Mind is the leading mental health charity across Hampshire. They aim to make sure anyone with a mental health problem has somewhere to turn for advice and support.
