Portsmouth athlete Serena Vincent jumps into top spot in world under-20 women’s shot put rankings

Serena Vincent is now ranked number one in the world in the under-20 women’s shot.

The City of Portsmouth AC member claimed top spot after a personal best throw in an event at the Mountbatten Centre at the weekend. She was previously lying in second place.

The competition was organised by the newly-former South of England Track & Field Academy, set up by Portsmouth-based coaches Paul Jones and Gary Sprake.

Vincent recorded a throw of 16.10 to move to the top of the world list at her age group.
