‘Electric atmosphere’ and high praise for Waterlooville Boxing Club show
Club secretary Garry Bird said there was an ‘electric atmosphere’ at the event, which featured 16 bouts.
Many of the match-ups featured home boxers, some of whom were competing in a competitive environment for the first time.

Hide AdAnd Bird was delighted to receive an email from highly-respected Hampshire boxing official Ken Charman following the show.
Charman attended the event and Bird reported: ‘Ken emailed me to say how much he enjoyed the show, and how well organised and controlled it was.
‘Ken said everyone should be proud of being a part of a high quality afternoon of boxing.’
Bird added: ‘It was an absolutely brilliant event, it went exceedingly well.
