Land Rover BAR sit eighth in Muscat
The Portsmouth-based outfit go into the final day of racing in Muscat, Oman, tomorrow playing catch-up despite some consistent performances.
Day one along the Omani coast proved problematic, with BAR unable to compete until the fourth race because of technical difficulties.

Hide AdThey got over that setback by posting finishes of seventh, sixth and eighth in the world-class fleet.
But were only awarded redress points in the final race of the day, after a collision forced them out.
Day two saw five races take place.
And with some squad rotation, Land Rover BAR Academy recorded finishes of sixth, ninth, seventh, eighth and fourth.
The penultimate day dawned to sunshine and 8-10 knots of onshore wind.

Hide AdFrom the eight races sailed, the Portsmouth crew finished sixth, sixth, fourth, BFD, eighth, sixth, eighth and fifth.
This leaves the team eighth overall going into the last day of racing.
Mainsail Trimmer Will Alloway said: ‘Today was a tricky day with all the teams pushing hard on the start line meaning there were a lot of general recalls and black flags.
‘If you didn’t get a good start you were in a difficult position and playing catch up.
‘We got eight races in, so it was a physical day but all of the hard work in the gym and on the water paid off and we held together well.’
Tomorrow’s racing starts at 7am GMT.
