Hampshire part ways with batsman

Sean Terry has left Hampshire by mutual agreement.

The 24-year-old batsman played 11 first-class matches for the county after making his debut against Loughborough MCCU in 2012.

He scored five half-centuries and his top score of 62 not out was crucial in Hampshire’s success over Sussex at Hove last summer.

However, Terry found his first-team opportunities hard to come by and today parted ways with the club his dad, Paul, served as a player and coach.

Terry, who will pursue regular cricket elsewhere, has 440 first-class runs to his name at an average of 29.33.

He has played eight one-day games, notching two half-centuries, and one twenty20 match.
