The Blues are said to be trailing the striker who’s currently playing in Australia for Sydney FC, according to website Football League World.
The 33-year-old has made a decent mark there following his departure from Bolton in 2018, scoring 18 goals in 21 games this term.

Such a move would represent a massive departure from the type of player Kenny Jackett has moved for in his three years at Fratton Park, however.
Le Fondre would be comfortably the oldest player Jackett has signed in that time, with the Blues boss largely opting to pursue younger emerging options.
Jackett did sign Le Fondre as a 28-year-old when Wolves manager in 2015, however, but found his chances limited at Molineux and then spoke out about the style of football played by Jackett not suiting his game.
