Portsmouth hit with 'IT issues' as rush for Chesterfield FA Cup tickets begins

Tickets for the game, which will be played at the SMH Group Stadium on Sunday, November 5, went on sale at 10am on Tuesday morning.
The club have been allocated around 1,800 places for the match against Paul Cook’s National League side – a game that will be screened live on ITV (kick-off 12.15pm).

Hide AdPompey supporters with 56 loyalty points were given priority status in the queue, with further windows of opportunity for other fans set out accordingly.
But a glitch meant the Fratton Park outfit could not sell any tickets to those who turned up in person at their Anson Road ticket office or anyone who wished to buy their match-day entry over the phone.
A 12.15pm an update from the club revealed they had ‘partially resolved the IT issues experienced this morning’, with the Blues now able to facilitate in-person sales, in addition to the continuation of online purchases.
However, the statement added: ‘Unfortunately, the club phone lines are still non-operational and, therefore, we cannot facilitate sales over the phone’.

Hide AdIt continued: ‘As such, we encourage supporters to book tickets via their eticketing account or in person from the Anson Road ticket office.
‘Portsmouth Football Club apologise for the inconvenience caused and appreciate the understanding supporters have shown throughout the morning.’
Pompey have subsequently taken the details of those who turned up in person on Tuesday morning and will contact them to complete their purchases.
Meanwhile, despite the difficulties encountered, the Blues plan to retain the on-sale windows previously set out.

Hide AdThat means those fans with 40-plus loyalty points can buy their tickets from 1pm, a 4pm window will be made available for those supporters with 32-plus points, while anyone with 18-plus points can join the bid to make the trip to Chesterfield from 10am on Wednesday.
If any tickets remain, then they will go on general sale at 1pm on Wednesday. Tickets are priced at £20 (adult), £16 (senior), £13 (young person) and £9 (junior).
