Atkins double sees Havant give leaders scare
Nicky Atkins scored twice as Havant came agonisingly close to toppling South Clubs' Women's League division two leaders Epsom at Barncroft Way on Saturday.
The hosts led 2-1 going into the dying embers of the fixture, only for the Surrey outfit to snatch a leveller from a penalty corner.
Atkins had earlier cancelled out their opener with a smart finish when one-on-one with the keeper.
The striker then reacted smartly to deflect home a fierce shot from Katie Shipton to put Havant ahead.
