Theresa May attacks 'left-wing human rights lawyers' over legal action against troops
The Prime Minister said they were harassing ‘the bravest of the brave: the men and women of our armed forces.’
She was giving her closing speech at this year’s Conservative Party conference.

Hide AdEarlier this week the government unveiled new legal measures to protect UK troops from ‘spurious’ claims of misconduct.
The change means that some parts of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) could be suspended during future conflicts.
The BBC reported that about 2,000 allegations against troops who served in Iraq and Afghanistan are being examined.
