Police name Park Gate woman charged over assault on police officer allegedly headbutted responding to an incident in a McColl's store

A WOMAN from Park Lane has been charged over an incident in a McColl’s store which ended with a police officer being allegedly headbutted.

Meshell Monagen, 34, has been charged with common assault of an emergency worker and a public order offence.

It follows officers being called to Harrison Road, near Fareham town centre, over an incident at a nearby McColl’s store at around 4.30pm on Saturday, July 22.

During the call-out, a police officer was allegedly headbutted.

Ms Monagen will appear in court on August 8.
