Pair arrested then released after police receive reports of two men on roof of Fareham Law Courts

TWO men were arrested on suspicion of burglary after intruders were spotted climbing onto the roof of Fareham Law Courts.

Police were called at 11.19pm last night (April 25) with reports of two males using a ladder to access the roof of the building.

Response and patrol officers attended the scene on Trinity Street, and were supported by a dog unit and a police helicopter.

The two males, aged 35 and 49, were located on the roof of the courts by the National Police Air Service.

After making their way down from the roof, they were met with officers on the ground.

Their vehicles have been seized.

Following enquiries, the two men have been released from custody with no further action.

The Fareham Police Facebook page said: ‘Some great teamwork by all and a great result!’
