Hide AdWitnesses to the assault have described seeing it as ‘traumatic’.
Now a fundraising page has been set up for Rebecca, with the organiser saying it would be a way to ‘show we care’.
The page, set up by Leahzoey Dollanibanks, says: ‘This is the reason why we have set this Go Fund Me page up for the young lady Rebecca Grant who was sadly attacked the other day and suffered multiple injuries.‘I think this would be an amazing opportunity to bring everyone together and make something positive out of a negative situation and show our support as a city that we can all pull together and show we care and bring some positive back to our city and show the young lady that people care and are thinking of her.
‘We hope she makes a speedy recovery and some little treats to help her on her way would be amazing.’

Police are still appealing for information.
On Friday Det Sgt Jamie Palmer said: ‘This is a particularly vicious assault that has left the victim with serious injuries to her head and face.
‘Our investigations into what happened are ongoing and we would urge anyone who has information about what happened or any footage to contact us.
‘At this stage, we believe those involved are local to the area.’
Rebecca was taken to QA but was discharged after treatment.
