Fire rips through Fuego's Street Food in Portsmouth

Four crews from across the area were called to the scene in London Road, North End, at 8.30pm.
Two crews from Cosham Fire Station, two crews and an aerial ladder from Southsea, and a command unit from Portchester were all needed to tackle the fire.

Hide AdIt is believed an oil fryer was the cause of the blaze, according to a staff member.
A witness at the scene, who asked not to be named, said: ‘It literally all went up in flames within a few seconds.
‘There was nothing we could do.
‘Everyone was evacuated from the building.
‘Firefighters arrived in minutes – they were amazing.
‘Four of them leapt over the door in the alley next to the building.
‘They were all wearing (breathing apparatuses).
‘The firefighters were absolutely amazing – I can’t praise them enough.’

Hide AdFire crews were at the scene for more than two hours, according to a spokesman from Hampshire Fire And Rescue Service.
He said: ‘There were no reports of any injuries from any crews present.’
Fuego’s Street Food opened in March.
