Donna from Gosport says goodbye to hair to raise money in memory of dad
But the 24-year-old knew she didn’t have the time to train for a run like the Race For Life, so she decided to do something else.
Donna, from Gosport, is this week’s We Can Do It T-shirt winner after she shaved her hair off for her late dad Martin.

She says: ‘I was really nervous in the week leading up to it, but I had great support from loads of people.
‘Now it’s been a few days, I’m used to it and am so glad I did it. My head is a lot colder nowadays, but it has been worth it.
‘I would never have cut my long hair for another reason so I was unsure of how I would look. But I wanted to do something in memory of my dad.

With the help of her mum Sue, Donna has raised nearly £500 for Cancer Research UK.
She adds: ‘I never expected to raise so much.’
She has also donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for children.
Sue says: ‘I’m really proud of her.’
Donations are still being received at Kev Jones’ grocers shop in Nobes Avenue.
