A council spokesman said: ‘We are pleased to let you know that bin collections will be resuming Tuesday, January 26 as scheduled.
‘If your collection was due on Monday, January 25, please leave your bin out and our crews will return as soon as they can throughout the week.
‘Unfortunately, garden waste collections will not be taking place this week as crews have been reallocated to help us catch up on Monday's collections. Any extra garden waste will be collected on your next scheduled collection date.
