Stop getting so offended on behalf of other people
No, it’s because Methodist minister Ian Lucraft took umbrage at a t-shirt the chain store stocked.
The offending t-shirt shows a bloody baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire, (which a character from the TV zombie series The Walking Dead uses to smash his victims’ heads with).

Mr Lucraft was so appalled that he complained directly to Primark chief executive Paul Marchant and the t-shirt was removed from the shelves.
Imagine getting so worked up over a t-shirt that you go straight to the chief exec with a strongly-worded letter.
Apparently Mr Lucraft found the t-shirt ‘fantastically offensive’. His wife was also horrified.

Hide AdI reckon the most fun this couple have is when Mr Lucraft goes crazy and has cocoa before bed rather than his usual hot milk.
The minister says everyone knows that the old Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe rhyme continues with the line ‘catch a n***** by the toe’. He claims it’s a ‘direct threat’ of a racist assault.
But I’d maintain that these days most people wouldn’t know the second line. My kids certainly didn’t.
But they and others do now, thanks to Mr Lucraft!
The majority of people buying this shirt wouldn’t have a clue. In the TV show the offending word is replaced with ‘tiger’ anyway.

Mr Lucraft went on to say: ‘If I were black and were faced by a wearer, I would know just where I stood.’
I say stop getting offended on behalf of other people, especially when it’s completely out of context.
I’m disappointed Primark took the T-shirt off sale as a result of his complaint. It should have told Mr Lucraft to pipe down and get a life.
IT SHOULD BE TRYING TO ATTRACT VISITORS, NOT PUT THEM OFF

It’s common practice in European hotspots on the continent.
I can see where he’s coming from. The Sagrada Familia, Eiffel Tower, Colosseum...and Holland & Barrett in Fareham High Street.
Somewhere like Fareham should be doing its best to attract visitors, not put them off going.
Councillor Roger Price says people coming to Fareham get to enjoy its benefits.

IS THIS MAN COMPETENT TO BE INVOLVED IN CHILD PROTECTION?
You know the safety of our children is being taken seriously when one of the country’s top child protection officers wants to decriminalise the viewing of child pornography.
Chief Constable Simon Bailey, lead on child protection at the National Police Chiefs Council, said low-level offending could be dealt with through counselling and rehabilitation.
The powers-that-be really need to consider if this man is even competent to be involved in child protection after such a ludicrous statement.
