A deafening salute rang across Portsmouth Harbour as ships’ horns were sounded to mark the Queen’s 70th year on the throne.
At noon, Royal Navy, commercial and private vessels joined those around the country to sound their sirens.
Last month, the UK Chamber of Shipping extended an invitation to all ship owners to part in the salute, sounding a simultaneous long blast on their horn or whistle.
This video was taken by Tony Weaver on the Gosport side of the harbour with the Gosport ferry in the foreground.
