A MAN has been charged in connection with fraud against a Hampshire golf club.

The former head professional at the Royal Winchester Golf Club, Steven Hunter, has been charged with fraud by abuse of position, and theft by employee.

It is also alleged that Hunter, 53, from Mill Lane in Abbots Worthy, benefitted from up to £20,000 from funds raised at two charity Pro-Am events held in memory of a longstanding club member.
