A WOMAN has been arrested following an assault on a Gosport police officer.
Earlier this afternoon, a 37-year-old from Gosport was arrested in Turner Avenue on suspicion of assault of an emergency worker and criminal damage.
The victim - a West team PC - was uninjured in the incident and is now back at base as she completes her write-up.
Gosport police have confirmed that the arrested woman has been booked into custody at EPIC, also known as the Eastern Police Investigation Centre.
