Gosport Borough Council obtained a closure order for the home in Hamble Road after persistent anti-social behavior and drug offences.
The order lasts for three months and makes it a criminal offence for anyone to enter the property, unless authorised by the police, with the order going into effect yesterday, April 6.

‘A warrant was executed at the address in October 2019 and a man was subsequently convicted of drug offences earlier this year.
‘Disrupting this type of offending is not simply a police-lead initiative, however, and we work closely with our partners in the council to carry out further preventative work.
‘Pursuing criminal convictions through the courts is a route we will take, but we also bolster this action with further partnership work, as this closure order demonstrates.

‘If you are concerned about drug supply in your area, please call your local neighbourhood policing team on 101.’
Local authorities and the police are required to make reasonable efforts to inform any occupants or anyone with control or responsibility over a property when a closure notice is going to be issued.
