Ronald Dossett, 74, of Marks Tey Road in Fareham, is charged with causing the death of West Sussex woman Nicola Drummond by careless driving.
Ms Drummond, who was in her 40s, and from Worthing, died in a three-car collision on the A280 in Angmering on January 17 last year when her orange Suzuki collided with Dossett’s blue Honda and a white Peugeot.

The driver of the Peugeot suffered minor injuries, police said.
Dossett did not enter a plea at Worthing Magistrates' Court on July 15.
Chairman of the bench David Worcester said: ‘We are obviously dealing with a very sensitive case which will involve forensically going through a number of complex issues.

Mr Worcester ordered Dossett to appear at Lewes Crown Court on Wednesday, August 12.
He was granted unconditional bail.
