GARDENING: It's question time with Brian Kidd
Q: I grew a peach from seed and it's in a 12in pot. It's now nearly three feet high with side branches. My dad says it will never fruit. What do you think? BT, Emsworth.
A: It will fruit in a year or so if you follow the instructions I've sent you. Years ago a peach was grown from a stone at Wisley and it fruited well every year.Â
Q: Is it too late to sow wallflower seeds? VS, Farlington.

Q: I have tree suckers growing in the grass which I am going to turn into a lawn. I can cut them right down but am not fit enough to dig out the roots. P, Horndean.
A: Cut down the stems to just below grass soil level and with a paint brush dab the cut stems with SBK Brushwood killer. It kills the suckers not the grass.
