Hide AdThe Christmas menu for inmates at HMP Winchester has been revealed, following a Freedom of Information (FOI) request.
Meals in prisons over Christmas and New Year are paid for from within the existing budget and at no extra cost to the taxpayer.
Here is what inmates will be tucking into on December 25 at HMP Winchester.
Breakfast
For breakfast on Christmas Day, prisoners will each receive either a pack/milk and a croissant with butter, and jam.
Christmas Lunch
The menu for the main meal on December 25 is as follows:

Hide AdRoast turkey, pigs in blanket, stuffing ball, roast potatoes, sprouts/ carrots, gravy, Christmas pud or fruit and custard.
There is also the option for smoked haddock fish cakes or nut loaf instead of turkey.
For any vegan inmates, there will also be a Vegan Wellington option.
Christmas Day Evening Bag
The evening bag will include:
Steak slice, crisps, fruit juice, Christmas shortbread, Christmas cake slice and a Penguin biscuit.

Hide AdThere is also the option for Field and Forest no meat sausage roll instead of the steak slice.
Prisoners will also receive a cookie and chocolate bar on Christmas Day.
