Tampon tax funds to help women's group in Portsmouth
Women's groups can apply for grants of £5,000 to £10,000 from the Hampshire and Isle of White Community Foundation, with the grant money provided by the government's Tampon Tax Fund.
Tracey Crouch, minister for sport and civil society, said: '˜The money generated from sanitary products is being invested in good causes that tackle serious issues that women of all ages face.

Funding is available for groups that aim to support marginalised women '˜overcome barriers that prevent them from fulfilling their potential.' National groups supported by the fund include Rape Crisis England & Wales and the '˜Let's Talk. Period.' Project, which addresses period poverty.
