The Guildhall Trust with its event partners, Tripwire Magazine and GoGeek Events CIC, has decided to postpone the popular event until Saturday May 1 and Sunday May 2, 2021.
The decision was made in light of the latest quarantine restrictions for international guests and re-opening restrictions for venues and events remaining ‘unclear’, according to a statement from the organisers.

Portsmouth Comic Con would not have been able to achieve a ‘high standard and quality’ with the current lockdown and quarantine restrictions in place, according to chief executive officer for The Guildhall Trust, Andy Grays.
He said: ‘While undoubtedly the postponement of our much-loved event will cause disappointment, this is the right decision to ensure the welfare of our guests, exhibitors, staff, volunteers, sponsors and suppliers.
‘The health and safety of everyone, has and always will be our priority.

Last year, it is estimated more than 3,000 attended the event, with attendees coming dressed as characters including Iron Man, Batman, and Chewbacca .
