Proposed £500m energy link on agenda
National Grid wants to build the station at Daedalus.
It has submitted a planning application to Fareham Borough If approved, the link, called the IFA2, would connect to France via 120 miles of sub-sea cables – the second of its kind in the country.
A Community Action Team (CAT) meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 28 at Holy Rood Church, Stubbington.

Hide AdAt this meeting, which starts at 7pm, council leader Sean Woodward will also be giving a presentation about initiatives taking place across the whole of Fareham.
Chairwoman of the CAT, Cllr Kay Mandry said: ‘Come along to hear an update on IFA2 and find out what will be happening next.
‘There will also be a presentation reviewing the last 12 months in Fareham.’
Residents will also get the chance to raise any issues or concerns they may have about their local area.
