Case joins brother at United

HAYLING United expect to give a Wessex Premier debut to striker Aaron Case, who joins his brother Josh at the club, as they face a tough trip to Totton & Eling, on Saturday.

Case has joined from Southern League Gosport Borough to help boost United's fire power.

Manager Mark Poulton said; "We already have some good strikers here but he will give us extra options.

"He will give us added strength and pace up front.

"Although we have slipped down the league, I am confident that we will be a Wessex premier side next season.

"Survival at this level for a club like ours is an achievement.

"We have suffered a couple of heavy defeats away from home, conceding 12 goals in two games.

"Our problem has been we haven't looked like scoring and have committed basic defensive errors."

Poulton is boosted by the news that Sean Thurgood is available to make his first appearance of the season.

The experienced midfielder has been out all season with a torn calf but managed to get 60 minutes in at Blackfield last week.

George Way still has three games left to serve in his suspension.

Hayling United v Totton & Eling A (KO 3pm): Harrop, Greenway, Oliver, Taylor, Thurgood, Salter-Vaile, Wall, Case J, Case A, Paxton, Gillman, Burney, Huntley, Waller.
