HAYLING'S Toby Burden was crowned Hampshire Youths Champion after he finished four shots clear of his nearest challenger at Petersfield Golf Club, at the end of August 27.
The plus-one handicapper, who works as a greenkeeper at Hayling fired magnificent rounds of 70 and 71. Burden beat off the challenge of The Army GC's Sam Robertshawe, the 2006 South of England Boys Champion, to land the Under 21 title.

olin Walsh celebrated his call-up to represent England in the Italian Under 16 Open Championship by finishing second in the Boys' Under 18 event.
Forty-four of the best junior golfers in the county took part in the Hayling Junior Open at the end of July.
The players came from far and wide, representation came from 22 clubs including 11 players from Royal Jersey and three from London.
Hayling's links provides a tough challenge, and with a strong wind whipping across the perilous gorse bushes and long marram grass the day was a real tough test for the very best teenagers.
Waterlooville's James Foster won the 36-hole competition with rounds of 73 and 77. The first round acted as a qualifier for the Daily Telegraph Junior Championship, with Foster, who plays for Hampshire, Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands Boys, taking the honour.
The Jack Smith Cup for the best handicap total went to Hayling's Andrew Halliwell, who shot nett rounds of 70 and 72, playing off six.
The Shufflebottom Shield – for best team on handicap in the afternoon round went to a mixed team from the Isle of Wight.
Sherfield Oaks' 18-handicapper Richard Hill had the best nett score before lunch with a superb 68.
Hayling's Connor Medlow, who played off 13, shot a nett 69 to win the afternoon prize.
And the host club's Jamie Mist shot a gross 77 after lunch to win the best gross prize.
Ex-European Tour pro Matt Blackey, who played as a junior at Hayling and represented England as an amateur, presented the prizes.
