Life and soul of the party PETER Francis Mead was born in 1928 and grew up in North London. As a child he was evacuated to Somerset, and after the war trained as a window dresser.

Globetrotter Betty at home on Hayling BETTY Arnell died suddenly but peacefully on August 16. She was born in in the village of Humberstone near Grimsby, Lincolnshire, in 1923.

Pilots' tribute to pal Peter FLYING instructor Peter Marie Joseph passed away on September 15 at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth. The cremation was held at Chichester Crematorium on October 3 after a humanist service.
