Why not nick my Rose in June idea?

THE old Rose in June pub is looking derelict and abandoned especially since the "mystery" fire in the old thatched barn.

In a previous Hayling Islander, a reader suggested that the site would make an ideal location for the Island's police station.

We hear regular reports of damage by vandals in the shopping centre, and it would surely make much sense for the police station to be central and more visible than at present.

There appears to be a chance both to preserve the building and to improve the presence of the Hayling Police. Will the opportunity be missed before some undesirable development takes place?
