Pensioner denies exposure

A PENSIONER alleged to have exposed himself sunbathing naked on Holywell beach will have his case heard at crown court. Richard Stofer, of Milton Road, is also accused of exposing himself in front of police.

The 67-year-old has been charged with two counts of exposure, intending someone would see and be caused alarm or distress. He pleaded not guilty to both counts and opted for crown court jury trial.

Stofer, who will re-appear at Eastbourne Magistrates Court on August 14 for a committal hearing, received conditional bail.
