Last big push for Paris to Hayling ride
A final "recce" is to be undertaken before Paris to Hayling Ride in July.
Support crew team manager, Pete Alloway and the chairman, will check the route notes and add any improvements, with positions for direction signs determined.
They will also suggest for suitable support crew stops, as well as identifying the hotels for them, including bike storage and vehicle parking.
They will also snag any extra accommodation needs and determine relative locations, to help with the hotel and rooming allocation process.
The "proof will be in the cycling," but we look forward to a great week and are praying for good weather!
After last year's 'sell-out', we are a little disappointed by the numbers this year, currently totaling 153, with spaces on both the longer and shorter rides – so if you want to join in, please let us know!
Dates are July 12 and 14, returning on Sunday July 19, for a welcome home reception at Hayling College, courtesy of Hayling United FC. Riders are expected to raise at least 150, for the charity of their choice.
