Hayling Island drink-driver crashed car
A DRINK-DRIVER who was more than three times the limit lost control of his car and crashed into a lamp post.
Craid Vajda, 42, crashed his Ford Focus in Bracklesham Road, Hayling Island.
The police arrived and a breath test showed he had 116 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35mg.
He also damaged a fence in the crash.
At Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court Vajda, of Ferry Road, Hayling Island, admitted drink-driving and failing to stop after an accident.
The magistrates handed him a community order which will include 12 sessions to tackle his alcohol problem. He will have 12 months of supervision from the probation service.
He was banned from driving for 28 months and told to pay £85 in costs.
