RAISE A CUP Audrey Glass, left, and Shirley Paton enjoy a coffee morning at the Hayling Island United Reformed Church. (120249-1)
FRIENDS Audrey Glass and Shirley Paton sit back and share a hot cuppa at a coffee morning in aid of the Rowans Hospice.
The event was organised by the Hayling Support Group and held at the Hayling Island United Reformed Church.
Around £200 was raised for the Purbook-based cause during the coffee morning.
The mornings are held at the venue once a month.
Barbara Beck, of the Hayling Support Group, said: ‘It wasn’t unbelievably busy but I was told the village wasn’t busy either.
‘It is a good amount considering it was just after Christmas and people are counting the pennies!
‘The mornings are a nice social gathering for the people who go.
‘A lot of people that come here live alone and do their bit for the hospice.
‘It’s a very worthwhile cause.’
