Accident on Hayling bridge

A CRASH on a busy bridge caused delays for commuters.

The two-car collision occurred on Hayling bridge at 4.10pm yesterday.

The bridge is notorious for causing long delays even when there is a minor accident because there is no other way on to or off the island.

The road was closed for 30 minutes as paramedics treated one of the drivers for minor injuries.

Firefighters were called to clear debris from the road. It reopened at 4.40pm.
