AUTHOR Pauline Rowson

AUTHOR Pauline Rowson

A PUBLISHING company has bought the rights to translate the works of a Hayling Island author into an Asian language.

Nanhai Publishing Company of Haikou will translate author Pauline Rowson’s books in to simplified Chinese.

There are eight books in the DI Andy Horton series of crime novels set in Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight.

Mrs Rowson said: ‘It’s great to see your work translated into another language.

‘I’ve seen my books in Polish and Turkish.

‘It’s also intriguing to see the cover and the book once it has been translated.

‘I’ve seen the cover for this latest book.

‘I love the thought that someone further away will be able to read about the Solent and Portsmouth, and envisage the scene I set.’
