Birds horror scars Island paradise

HAVING enjoyed your delightful Island for the first time, we were just entertaining thoughts of moving to this paradise of buses without mobile phones being used by most of the passengers, and being able to get a seat.

You have delightful wildlife and quiet areas which are totally gone here in East London.

However, while waiting for the most punctual bus, we wandered past the Royal Shades pub, and sat on the sea wall facing the back of the once beautiful Grade II listed Norfolk Court.

On looking up, caught in the numerous nettings were birds from skeletons to newly dying birds – just dozens of them.

It was horrific and never do I want to see this again. How could the Islanders see this and not do anything?

The long, cruel death for these birds was and is un-necessary. I do hope someone will stand up and do something.

We have contacted the RSPCA and hope the nettings are now down.
