WHILE I think the new 21st century seafront at Beachlands idea is a good one, I feel it will cause traffic problems getting on and off the island in the summer months.
At present it can be a nightmare once the traffic builds up as there is only one road on and off the island.

My partner and I always time our journeys in the summer so that we don't hit too much traffic but this is not always possible.

Wouldn't it be more practical to build a bridge at the Ferry Point to ease the traffic situation, than develop Beachlands?

The artists impressions look good and the new development would be welcome on the island but traffic jams must be considered.
